Earlier this year we asked the lovely Martin to tell us a bit about how he styles his Mixter Maxter knitwear which you can read in his blog Mixter Maxter Menswear. Keen not to leave the men out this festive season, we thought we would put together some ideas for some knitted gifts for them this Christmas.
Inspired by Viking runes from Orkney’s Norse heritage, Vik in diesel blue whose colours are taken from the depth of our local seas is perfect for throwing on and keeping you cosy.
Monochrome is a classic! Easy to wear, goes with everything an suits almost everyone. Cubes in charcoal and zinc is Martin’s choice for windswept Orkney islands adventures with his camera at the ready.
New this Winter 17 and inspired by the layers of coastal rocks along the cliff edges of our northern Archipelagoes, Brandit is a striking linear design which comes in black and white making it perfect for men & women this Christmas.
Finally the featured image at the top of this blog is our tweed flat scarf which continues to be one of our best-sellers here at the studio. Simple design on a flat scarf base means you can wrap it tighter to your body and more than once underneath your jacket to add extra warmth on those extra cold winter days.
